Ace the Saskatchewan GDL Class 7 Learner Exam 2026 – Drive Your Way to Success!

A green light at an intersection indicates that drivers may proceed through the intersection, provided that it is safe to do so. This means that you should assess the intersection for any pedestrians, cyclists, or vehicles present before moving forward. The emphasis is on ensuring that the path is clear to avoid collisions and ensure the safety of all road users.

While approaching a green light, it's important not to simply assume the way is clear. Drivers should slow down and check for any obstacles or traffic that may still be in the intersection, particularly if multiple lanes of traffic are present or if there are turning vehicles. It's essential to follow this practice to maintain safety, as a green light does not grant you unequivocal right-of-way if conditions aren't optimal.
